We bought this book by Marc Boutavant for Milo. And I’ve been reading bits to him whilst he’s been sick recently.
It’s brilliant. It’s maybe a little bit Lauren Child, a lot Richard Scarry or J Otto Seibold, full of great colours and loads of intricate detail. And there’s a bit of Where’s Wally-style treasure mapness baked into it too. It tells the story of a bear called Mouk, who goes round the world and sends postcards to his friends about all the stuff he has seen. All of which feels like a tremendous platform for something more than a book.
Here’s a trailer for some mobile stuff they are apparently doing.
But there should so be a children’s character like this that uses Google Maps or Crowdmap.
UPDATE: According to Tash, you can search for Where’s Wally on Google Maps. As you were, then.
